I'm Lynn Sanders, 1st Tenor. I was born in
Salem, Oregon and raised in the Northwest.
My musical training began with formal vocal
training from a very early age with my father
who
was classically trained. I continued
training throughout high school with a vocal
coach. I sang in three traveling groups in
my twenties in which there were many incredible
experiences such as singing before the United
States Congress. Music has always been a
major part of my life. I have enjoyed
serving as choir director in our church for many
years. It is the conduit that I am blessed
with that is used to express my praise for my Lord
in worship.
I heard my first Gospel Quartet at the age of 9
years old. The Blackwood Brothers came to
the Northwest on tour. I wore those albums
out. (I still have them by the way) I
used to try to emulate J.D.
Sumner back then. We moved to Akron, Ohio
when I was 16 and attended "The Cathedral of
Tomorrow" where the infamous Cathedral Quartet
began. From that point on, I started the
dream to sing in a Southern Gospel Quartet.
I have been married for 28 years to my incredible
lovely bride Kathy. She would have to be
incredible to be married to me! She has
given me 3 beautiful daughters, Keri, Lindsey and
Erin. Keri and her husband Dallas gave us a
beautiful granddaughter, Ava. I am a lucky
man to have the love and support of my dear
family.
While dreaming of one day singing at the National
Quartet Convention, I am employed as an account
manager by a foodservice brokerage company in the
Charlotte, NC area.
